SCHOLARSHIP SCHEMES
The students of Sainik School Imphal are given scholarship by their respective state of domicile. The amount of scholarship entitled, therefore, varies depending upon the Scholarship Rules of the concerned state. Any students who fail to obtain minimum 45% marks in each subject and 55% in aggregate is not eligible for any scholarship. The existing Scholarship Rule being followed by various states are given in the subsequent paragraphs. Since the scholarship rules are subject to change, parents are advised to check the validity of the rules. The rate of fee will be increased by 5% for this year. However, the increase in fee is subject to upward revision along time as per the direction of Sainik Schools Society.
DEFFENCE SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is awarded by the Ministry of Defence and is entitled to children of Defence Personnel irrespective of the state they belong to.
LIABILITY OF THE PARENTS OF SCHOLARSHIP HOLDERS
The parents/guardians of those students who are in receipt of Govt. scholarship are required to execute a bond at the time of admission to the effect that if their son/ward does not take the competitive examination of the Union Public Service Commission for National Defence Academy or till such time his age permits him to do so having taken the examination but does not join the Academy if selected, or having joined the said institution but fails to complete the training, or having completed the training yet fails to join the Regular Armed Forces, they shall refund to the Govt. concerned the entire value of scholarship availed by their son/ward during his stay in the school. |
